MRT Hood Struts for 1994-2004 Mustangs eliminate the need for the factory hood prop rod and give you a clean and functional "performance look." Our No-Drill Hood Struts give show Mustangs an impressive look that sets them apart from the crowd, without giving them a permanent handicap. Your Mustang deserves better than to have holes drilled into its hood.
The MRT Hood Strut Kit reuses OEM factory attachment points. They are very easy to install -- all you'll need is a 10mm wrench. Unlike other available kits, MRT Hood Struts require absolutely NO DRILLING and no extra bolts during installation. Simply bolt the kit on and go!
Team MRT engineered and manufactured the MRT Hood Strut Kits for 1979-2012 Mustangs in the United States. We designed these Hood Struts to work with the factory hood. If you have an aftermarket hood, our tech team may be able to assist you in the adjustment process or provide you with a higher or lower pressure gas strut. Struts in the kit are finished in black. Brackets are made out of high-quality steel for utmost durability. They come with a quality painted carbon fiber finish. MRT can also paint your brackets in any paint color. Please provide a paint code when ordering. There is an additional $40 fee for this service and does require a 3-5 day lead time.
